Take Action Now Even If It Is Hard — 47 Comments

  1. This is a great post! Love it. I still hate that happened to you all but it’s in the worst of time that we find just how strong we really are.

  2. You were incredibly impressive in that difficult time. You are right, if you are able to take action now in the middle of devastation, we should be able to do it when we are safe at home behind our computers.

  3. I’m so sorry you and your children had to go through such a traumatic experience. As a therapist, I teach and practice this all the time. You have two choices: act or wallow. Wallowing does nothing but waste valuable energy that could be used on acting.

  4. Getting started in anything can be hard. Taking action NOW is the best advice. I need to do that.

  5. I can’t imagine how scary that must have been! This post is very inspirational- I don’t have anything that I need to act on right now but I’m saving this for when I do!

  6. Sometimes, we dont realize how prepared/not prepared until something happens. I hope all is well!

  7. This is a great motivator. It does sound simple, but you’re right, it’s not always so simple to do (but you’re always grateful once you do it).

I’m glad you were able to keep things together so calmly on the day you described. I can only imagine how heart wrenching it was, and thank God everyone was okay!

  9. I was watching a show on tv recently and at some point they touched on the training that special ops type guys receive. One of the things that they talked about was how they train to keep moving forward, no matter what. It’s good advice for many of lifes challenges.

  10. I am definitely an action person, sometimes too much so. I usually get an idea or a desire and go for it. In crazy situations though it is much harder to take action
