Count Your Blessings – They Are a Treasure

The end of the week gives us the opportunity for a big finish and to thank God for His blessings.

This has been an amazing week for me. I have had so many amazing things, miraculous things happen I am overwhelmed with joy. Everyone knows the story of the parting of the Red Sea and the story of the multitude being fed with a few fish and some loaves of bread. Those things happened a long time ago. Have you heard about the miracle of the boy who started behaving better in school? What about the story of the teenager who started seeing her teachers to get help with Honor’s Chemistry (after her parents threatened her with . . . )? Or how about the story of the twin girls who started cleaning their room and kept their shoes from getting lost for one whole week? What about the miracle of the husband of twenty-seven years who called his wife on the telephone and made her swoon like a teenager in love?

I am an optimist at heart. I am able to find the silver lining in every cloud. I see the good in every situation. That makes it easier for me to see the blessings in events that happen all around me. I like living that kind of life. I like living a life that sees the bright side, the hopeful side, the side that sees wonderful blessings in the world around us. I honestly believe that everyone can be successful with the right encouragement, inspiration and motivation.

Don’t take my word for it. Look at your life. Examine how things are going at work and at home. How often have you been able to make something work when common sense told you it was impossible? How many times were you able to make a way out of no way? How often have you looked back at a situation and thought only a miracle made things come out in your favor. If you have any examples of those things happening you have been blessed and it is a good idea to give thanks.
