This is a sponsored post on behalf of Comcast Spectacor and the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on behalf of the Harlem Globetrotters. While I was compensated to write about this event, all opinions and facts are my own.
It is magnificent to see one of your children smile with pure joy at an event and that is why going to see the Harlem Globetrotters is one of my favorite events ever. Last year I took my three youngest children to the Liacouras Center to see the Harlem Globetrotters for the first time. We had a spectacular time. Yesterday we went back again. The game was incredible! The score went back and forth more times than I could count.
The Globetrotters did so much to keep the audience involved and excited about the game. It was really incredible. Here are just a few if the things that kept the fans in the edges if their seats:
- Players have water fights with each other
- Player gave away cotton candy
- Players get the crowd to do the YMCA dance
- Fans got to vote on special rules to be used during the game
Another fun thing, just for the Philadelphia crowd was the addition of play KG3 a local kid who has been inspiring people with learning challenges all around the country The young Bensalem native was a member of the team and even scored a few points.
My children and I were in a great big high remembering how great the experience was last year. This year was eve better. My son got involved with all aspects of the show and kept a watchful eye on the scoreboard for the entire game. My favorite part of the game was the smile on my daughter’s face which stayed animated, happy, and excited throughout the game.
The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters have been thrilling families and millions of fans for 88 years, all the while innovating the game in exciting new ways. Last year, the Globetrotters did something unparalleled in the history of sports and entertainment, letting fans vote on new rules to be used in actual games. It was so much fun, they are doing it again with tons of cool new rules to choose from on the 2014 “Fans Rule” World Tour. The Harlem Globetrotters are masters at keeping audiences on the edges of their seats and wondering what will happen next. The excitement on the court and in the stands is remarkable. It is something you should allow yourself and your family to experience.
In conclusion, it is wonderful to be able to repeat a great family moment and that is why I am looking forward to seeing the Harlem Globetrotters whenever they play in Philadelphia. As much fun as the game was with the tricks, laughs and great basketball, I will go back each year because of how they made my baby smile. So, the question for you this magnificent day is, when was the last time a sporting event made you feel immense and overwhelming joy?
