Monkey Fish Toys – Crazy Name- Great Toy Store

Recently, I had the privilege of checking out Monkey Fish Toys in Exton, Pennsylvania. I was accompanied by my husband and son who are both huge toy fans. When we arrived at the store, none of us was disappointed with what the store had to offer. We were treated to an enormous selection of toy treats that included:

  • Legos
  • puzzles – jigsaw and block
  • stuffed animals
  • Hot Wheels cars, ERTL cars, Automoblo cars
  • dinosaurs
  • dolls
  • sticker books
  • art sets
  • toy telephones
  • Melissa and Doug toys

It was interesting to see the many modern toys as well as some old classics.

These are the Lego sets I want for my twins.

This telephone was one of my favorite toys when I was a child.

This photo shows a little of the level of variety. Check out the puzzles and the cars and trucks next to each other on the shelves waiting for you to take them home.

Interestingly, there was a great selection of metal lunch boxes from a variety of television shows and cartoons that was a big hit with my family.

My husband saw the Doctor Who lunch box, thermos and accessories section and fell in love with a Tardis lunch box.  I couldn’t resist, I sent him to the car and purchased it for him secretly to give it to him for his birthday later this month. ( I must admit I gave Darren the lunch box early and we love seeing him go off to work carrying it!)

One cute feature at Monkey Fish Toys that may save many a mother from exhaustion while the kids search around and try to narrow down their choices is the couch. Near the back of the store, there is a big comfy couch you can relax on so the children can shop and you don’t drop.

Here is a picture of my two men sitting behind the couch looking at one of the three different car displays.

If you have a little one and are trying to figure out ideas for a fun and different birthday party. Consider Monkey Fish Toys. While I was there, store employee Meagan was helping the children do some fun arts and crafts projects in the party area. The children seemed to be having a good time and were able to take home a nice project. I checked out the prices and the party plans were competitively priced. The food options at Monkey Fish Toys seemed to be the same prices you would pay if you purchased the items yourself. There was no ridiculous mark-up like at a lot of party establishments. The store owners were knowledgeable, energetic and seemed as if they really appreciated our business. That attitude is always a plus!

If you want the fun of checking out all the latest toys,  enjoy some old school favorites all in the same place and to scout out a unique party place, go check out Monkey Fish Toys:

  1. I need to get my hands on that chatter phone! My daughter always picks up things around the house and pretends the items are phones. I would never think of hosting her birthday party at a store, until now.
