You have heard people say it all your life, ”’If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” In addition, you know that you do a better job when you work with a plan rather than just winging it. So why aren’t you creating a plan and working according to the plan?Continue reading →
Today is a great day to commit to improving family life by creating family traditions. Tradition gives us a sense of stability and dependability. So let today be the day you create some traditions and improve life for your family.
The first line of the book Anna Karenina is “Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.” When it comes to family traditions each family creates them in their own way. At our house, we have a few traditions that are special to us. Some of these include:
Tacos on Friday night

Today is a good time to commit to being a reader because reading does something good for the world. My children grew up watching PBS. This means they heard things like, “take a look it’s in a book, a reading rainbow” and “having fun isn’t hard if you’ve got a library card.” From an early age I wanted them to read and to develop a love of reading. If you want to be sure they are doing things the way you want them done, you have to provide training. There are several benefits to training your employees. These benefits include:Continue reading →
If you want them to last, commit to appreciating your technology by taking care of your devices. How many times have you looked at your laptop, tablet, or phone and been amazed at how dirty they are? Did you ever review photos you took with your phone and saw spots that did not exist anyplace but on your phone’s dirty lens?
Start with wiping things off.
One of the easiest things you can do to take care of your technology is to wipe it off at least once per week. What you will use to wipe off your devices depends upon what your manufacturer advises. I use baby wipes for everything. So every two days or so I wipe down my monitors, keyboard, mouse, tablet, e-reader, and phone. It takes less than two minutes, but it keeps my things neat, clean, and ready to go.Continue reading →
