Terrific Tuesday – it is terrific to have a plan to survive your computer dying. Recently, for no reason at all, through no fault of my own, the hard drive on my laptop computer decided to stop working and I had to send my computer back to the manufacturer for service. I saw the breakdown as an inconvenience. My husband who has been married to this blogger for 22 years, saw an opportunity for a blog series. I use my computer for work, for fun, for pleasure, for entertaining my children. I really like my computer. It is terrific to have technology that helps us keep our lives in order. Recently, for no reason at all, through no fault of my own, the hard drive on my laptop computer decided to stop working and I had to send my computer back to the manufacturer for service. I used that computer to write my blog, run my calendar, keep track of business matters and keep up with my children. I am proud that when the hard drive died, I remained calm, did not cry. I was okay because I had backups in the cloud, on CD, SD card and flash drives. computer smart phone tablet This is an important topic to master because the truth of the matter is that all technology fails sometimes. When technology fails, the results can be tragic.
It is terrific to be able to use technology to take control of the to do list.We all have things to do. We have projects at home, work and school. We must remember things to do for ourselves. our spouses, our children, our work mates and our friends. Everyone has a different way of doing things. My husband for example has a pen and a bunch of little yellow legal pads. He writes everything down on one of his little pads and everyone in the house has been trained to stay away from them. I have a girl friend who has a beautiful paper day planner that she carries around and uses to plan her life. I am a gadget-aholic and like to use my technology.
