Photo by Petty Officer 2nd Class Taylor DiMartino

Thank you to the Navy Office of Community Outreach for providing us with the information about this member of the armed services.

Today we are taking time to highlight the work of Seaman Ricky Sarau a member of the United States Navy. It is our hope that Seaman Sarau and his family will see this highlight and know that his service and sacrifice are appreciated by his community.

Seaman Ricky Sarau, from Philadelphia, operates the sliding pad-eye as the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Milius (DDG 69) conducts a replenishment-at-sea with the Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE 7). Milius is underway conducting operations in the Indo-Pacific region while assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.

Andre Crouch had a song that said, “someone somewhere is praying for you.” With that mindset, we share this information about Seaman Sarau. Take a moment today to think about the work you do to benefit others. Would it encourage you to know that those you work for appreciate your work? Would knowing that your work, your sacrifice, and dedication was appreciated encourage you?

Here at Janeane’s World and our parent company James, Davis, and Associates we believe everyone can succeed and be happy with the right encouragement, inspiration, and motivation. That is why we look forward to sharing stories that will help encourage, inspire, and motivate others. It is our hope that Seaman Sarau, his family, and friends are uplifted with the knowledge that he and his work are appreciated.

The office of Navy Community Outreach travels the globe to collect sailor’s photos and distribute them to their hometown media. Whenever we at Janeane’s World gets one of these distributions, we share it with our readers. It is a nice way to give some social media attention to men and women who work to protect and serve our nation.
