Meet Soldier Fortune – he was a fan favorite who won 3 of 4 competitions.

The avenger was a fierce competitor who lets nothing stop him.

Monster Jam stars the biggest performers on four wheels: Monster Jam trucks! The twelve-feet-tall, ten-thousand-pound machines will bring you to your feet, racing and ripping up a custom-designed track full of obstacles to soar over – OR smash through. The 2015 touring season brings more Monster Jam tailored perfectly for your family’s budget, and these colorful, larger-than-life beasts are sure to capture the hearts.

The Monster Jam show also had 2 quad races that were very exciting!

My family attended the event last night and the performances were  incredible. This was the second time our family attended Monster Jam and my kids and I enjoyed the show more this year than last year. They spent the evening  jumping up and down with excitement.  All those big crazy trucks in action was truly thrilling. This year we understood things better. We understood that there were 4 different events:

  • donuts
  • wheelies
  • jumps
  • freestyle

I did not know until this year that the drivers are called athletes. They were incredible in the amount of control, technique and style that was put into each area of competition.Incredibly, fans go to be the judges. I had never been to any athletic event where the fans judged the competitors. It was so cool! If you are in the area, stop by the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia and check out the show. In the meantime here are some photos to show you some of the incredible sights you will see at Monster Jam.

One of the most incredible things was just how high these huge vehicles were able to get! Sitting in the audience I was very nervous when the trucks went from horizontal to vertical. Check out these photos to see if my fear was justified.

Do you see what Wrecking Crew is doing here? Would you try it?

Zombi www.janeanesworld.com
Zombie kept getting so high, my camera could not keep up!

Avenger vertical www.janeanesworld.com
Avenger gets major air and is totally vertical!

Three of the trucks flipped over during the competition. Don’t worry, no one was hurt. Each of the athletes got out of the cars with no trouble, no injury and continued to compete.

I also would like to let everyone know that Comcast Spectacor has offered an exclusive discount for my readers.  If you use the code “BLOG” you will get a $10 discount on $20 and $30 tickets which make the show affordable family fun.  Please note, the discount is not valid for Front Row, VIP or $15 tickets. It also does not apply to kids tickets or more than 6 tickets. No double discounts are available. Restrictions and charges may apply. Tickets are on sale at www.ComcastTIX.com.

One final note, bring earplugs. The show is LOUD!

  1. That looks like so much fun. I would like to take my family to one of those shows one day. I’m sure my daughter would love it, although I’m not sure I could deal with the noise! And I had no idea that the drivers were called athletes?! So cool.
