Oprah Winfrey at the Golden Globes and 3 Lessons for Entrepreneurs — 18 Comments

  1. I have seen so many great things about the speech! Honestly, it was so full of amazing lessons and I don’t think it only applies to entrepreneurs.

  2. Wonderful life lessons shared here Janeane! Oprah is such an inspiration, has been way before this weekend’s speech.

  3. My mom always watched Oprah! She used to watch it religiously when I was a kid.

  4. Very good read. With everything we do we should inspire others

  5. I have to remind myself a lot that each day is a new day! There are days I just want to throw in the towel then I remember how much I really love what I am doing and I hope that I can keep doing what I do. I know I am lucky!

  6. Love these lessons that you outlined! I need to go back and watch her full speech but she always inspires me with everything that she does.

  7. I have heard highlights from Oprah’s speech and they were very impressive. I feel like you have to be aware that your kids are always watching you and you have to set an example for them.

  8. I heard she gave a great speech, but I haven’t heard it yet. I think everyone had a story and it’s our job to inspire others as much as we can.

  9. Yes, our children are watching us and no matter what we say they pay more attention to what we do. The speech was full of good lessons for all of us.

  10. You are correct, the best lessons are the ones that can be used by more than one group of people.

  11. Very important lessons to always keep in the forefront as one navigates the waters of life and entrepreneurship. Young people are always watching, especially the children who live under our own roof. I believe our actions speak louder than our words. A new day is on the horizon… I think this is so important. I’m going to keep these words in mind when I feel my day or my life isn’t going the way I planned. As long as I’m alive a new day is on the horizon. In other words, I’m not done yet. Thank you.
