The Ringling Brothers and Barnum Bailey Circus Xtreme has come to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia and all I can say is WOW!!!! Have you ever taken your children some place that kept them on the edge of their seats with their mouths hanging open for 2 hours? Last night my children and I went to the circus and it was an incredible thing. This was our second time going to the Ringling Brothers and Barnum Bailey Circus and believe me, the second time was even better than the first.
We rode to the show on the circus and saw another family on the way as well. I didn’t know the family and was not close enough to see them talk, but you could tell by the way the two children were jumping up and down in their seats that they were definitely going to the circus. Before I give you all the details about how incredible the show was, let me assure you that there are still tickets available for the upcoming shows.

The name of this year’s performance is Circus Xtreme. There really needs to be a name that says, “Oh my goodness this really is the greatest show on earth!” But, puts it in one word. It was incredible, breath-taking and at several points made my heart literally jump inside my chest.
The excitement starts when you walk in and see the iconic Ringling Brothers sign at the edge of the stadium. You know that great and wonderful things are going to come from that hallway! The high wire walkers did some stunts all those feet in the air that I would not attempt on the ground. It was scary to think about doing but so beautiful to watch.
<!–nextpage–? We saw an interesting thing that we had not seen elsewhere – tap dancers who danced while wearing skis. They were quite talented and graceful at the same time. While we were sitting in our seats waiting for a new act to begin. These air dancers dropped from the sky. It was such a shock and the room went from no action to the drop of the air dancers so quickly we gasped in delight. The master of ceremonies did an excellent job of keeping the crowed hyped and looking forward to the next act on the way. The mini pauses between acts were always full of excitement. Of course there were acrobats who delighted us with their grace and artistry. At the same time, the acrobats combined with strong me, to gie a truly beautiful treat. The artistry was amazing.
Elephants of course are a circus classic. The elephant trainer shared a lot of information about the history, care and training of elephants. One of my daughters now says elephants are her favorite animal.
One of the most exciting things was the man who walked on the pendulum in the air. He did stunts inside, outside and on top of a whiling metal loop in the sky. It was incredible, it took our breath away and made us jump when we thought he was going to fall, but it was all part of the show. The tigers, white tigers and brown ones were the scariest part of the show. Some of the growls and refusals to cooperate seemed real and they were scary! One of my favorite parts was the trampoline act. The men in this act jumped and bounce on a trampoline into the air while walking up walls and jumping on top of the platform. It was incredible, fast paced and breath-taking in artistry, excitement and talent. The Ringling Brothers Circus Xtreme is a great show full of excitement, artistry, beautiful animals and enough variety to make the entire family have a good time. As a parent, my absolute favorite part was seeing my children smile, clap and stay on the edges of their seats the entire evening. If you are a parent, go, the looks on your children’s faces will prove the show worthy of the price.
