The Sandwich Havens of Philadelphia
Edited by Janeane Davis to add: Most of these sandwich shops are located in and around Center City Philadelphia. Even though I live in the 'burbs now, my favorite places are still in the neighborhoods where real Philadelphians live and eat. If you really want a great hoagie (which is what we eat in Philly) or a cheesesteak, go to Jim's near 62nd and Vine in Philadelphia. The steaks there are the best, period.
The Sandwich Havens of Philadelphia
Making the perfect sandwich is an art. Getting the right cheese to meat ratio, as well as picking out the perfect sauces to add that extra je ne sais quoi takes time and practice. The stress of getting all the parts just right is enough that many prefer to have a sandwich made for them.
Some people unfortunately live in sandwich deserts, so it is helpful to know where to find the nearest oasis. Luckily, FindTheHome did the work for you. The site crunched the numbers to find the neighborhoods in Philadelphia, PA that boast the most sandwich, hoagie and sub shops per 10K people.
