When Was the Last Time You Checked Your Twitter Analytics
If you use Twitter for business purposes, you should review your Twitter analytics on a regular and frequent basis and use the information it provides. Most people who own blogs or websites for their businesses understand the importance of reviewing Google Analytics to determine how things are going.
Understanding social media analytics information including Twitter analytics reports are an important part of running your business.
Often people who use Twitter look for quick schemes that will get them more followers and make them more popular on the Twitter network. These schemes, plans and services, like many get rich schemes are short-sighted in nature. Instead of looking for a get more Twitter followers quick scheme, sit back and look at the Twitter analytics in order to find out what is going on with your Twitter account and how to make the most of Twitter.
In order to get to your Twitter analytics, do the following:

There is an amazing amount of information provided by the Twitter analytics. To understand the information, start at the top of the report page. The first thing you will see is a look at your Twitter account for the past 28 days. This information is quite useful because in addition to the raw numbers, information is provided about the increase or decrease in each of the reported areas for the past 28 days. In this section you will see the number of Tweets you have made, Tweet impressions, number of times people have visited your profile and the number of mentions you have received.
This snapshot is an excellent way of looking at how well you are or are not doing with the Twitter service. You must send out Tweets in order to get your message out to the world, your followers and customers. The more impressions you make the more opportunities you have for interaction. Mentions are great because they show who is directly talking about you. It is a good thing to have customers, prospects and the public at large talking about you and the wonderful things you have to offer the world.

I try to visit my analytics at least once a month. I figure I need to know what is resonating so I can share more of the same.
I haven’t checked mine for quite awhile and probably should hop over and see how it’s doing. I’ve really made an effort to be more interactive on Twitter in the last month or two.
Never actually. I don’t pay attention to that sort of thing and honestly, does it even really matter?
